Little Big Walkies is a new event for puppies aged 12 weeks to 18 months old in the Cambridgeshire area.
Big Walkies is a Cambridgeshire community group that has been running since February, they are keen to promote responsible dog ownership and are keen to help out local puppy owners.
Its well known that puppies need to meet and have enjoyable encounters with a wide variety of adults, children and other animals. You will probably have begun this process already at home, but Little Big Walkies is for puppies that have completed their vaccinations (usually by 12 weeks). Do a little socialisation every day and join Little Big Walkies fortnightly for a tail-wagging hour of socialisation and recall practice. We do not claim to be a puppy training class, but with the experience of running Big Walkies Becca and Jackie (Directors) have seen just how beneficial the socialisation of dogs can be.
What do you need to do to join? Register as a Big Walkies member for FREE at: www.bigwalkies.org.uk
Little Big Walkies starts this Saturday 18th June at Hill Rise Park, St Ives at 1pm. You will be welcomed by Becca and then begin your hours Little Big Walkies. The puppies will get a chance to familiarise themselves with each other and then do some walking (practicing lead control), some recall training and walk etiquette. As Big Walkies is a community group and not funded, they welcome a donation at the end of their events (suggested £1 per dog). However, this is a donation and you are not expected to pay this.
Weekly walks also take place for all dogs in St Ives, Ramsey and St Neots. Larger walks occur monthly in a green space within Cambridgeshire.
