After a quiet couple of weeks Big Walkies is back and in full swing!
The Big Walkies phone has been found and will be back online this evening.
The website has been updates with a few more walks - more to come tonight!
The Pick Up Their Poop campaign is getting goof coverage and we have received almost 100 quetionnaire entries. The questionnaire will be open until the end of April 2011.
The e-newsletter will be sent to members by the end of this week and our St Ives Weekly Walks start tomorrow night!!

We've missed talking to our members - so keep in touch and thanks for being part of our team :)

This morning at just gone 10am, Becca (Director of Big Walkies) went live on air BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
The interview was to promote the Pick Up Their Poop campaign. Big Walkies are amazed with the initial response with just under 60 questionnaire's completed in less than 24 hours.
Big Walkies are keen to work in partnership with Cambridgeshire local authorities, charities and businesses to make our streets cleaners and encourage responsible dog ownership.
With the results Big Walkies are hoping to create a "Reponsible dog ownership guide."

Did you know that in 2006 there were an estimated 7.4million dogs in the UK, producing on average 1000 tonnes of poop per day!! (Source - BBC Home).

We are kicking off a new campaign called "Pick Up Their Poop" or on Twitter: #pickuptheirpoop. We would be grateful if you could complete a short questionnaire about dog poo, I accept that it's not the nicest of subjects, but we could really use your help!

Questionnaire: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZY2TXDW

We would also be really really grateful if you could send the questionnaire onto friends/family as we would like to see how we can improve the dog poop situation!

We will be inlisting some help from dog websites, local press and animal charities!
